Life Guru witnesses 2011 Broward County Award Show

To be honest I went to this award show to support a friend, Diondre Brown (photo below). I was expecting this to be similar B.E.T. Awards but it was much better! I can say that I will be attending every year for years to come.

The show was hosted at Cafe F.M.E. on December 19, 2011. The Second Annual Broward County Awards presented by NEXT2BLOW MUSIC GROUP, (started by One Will and Lady Zoe) is nothing short of "954" Genius! They did not just have an amazing DJ, great hosts and phenomenal performances but they also had some of the most original awards that I have ever witnessed at any award show.

The award show did what most others will never be able to accomplish because they are only focused on those at the top and the money they bring in, this award show supported it's community and acknowledge the hard working people on the rise.

This duo made it a night to remember. With great a sense of humor, hot fashion and even a "wardrobe change", they kept everyone on their toes. To make the show even better these two knew most, if not all, of the nominees personally making it a personalized show without rehearsal.

Now picture this, you enter an award show hosted at a night club and there are these people that are taking over the dance floor from before the show even starts. Now they are so amazing that no one else is willing to get on the floor because they do not want to be put to shame. Well of course that was NXB, thee hottest dance group in the county! The introductory performance, as well as a side performance to a song by Plies, had the crowd going wild. They set the tone and the bar for the show to be nothing short of fiya!

One of the best live performances to come across the stage were the Female MC's. Yes, Broward MC's do it best. Honestly I can say that I haven't been this happy to listen to Female MC's since Lil' Kim was killin' it back in the day, or when Missy Elliot was non-stop hot. Either way these ladies right here are lyrically talented "fashionistas" but most of all each are an unstoppable force.

As he gave his speech he stated that he and Lady Zoe had come up with the idea to have a award show like this years before but now this was the second year of turning their vision into a reality.Congratulations and many more to come.
